Podczas festiwalu lAbiRYnT poświęconego tematyce czasu będę poprzez taniec w starych butach roboczych mojego ojca przyglądać się stale zmieniającym się wyzwaniom teraźniejszości. W ramach ulicznego performance’u Hold On Tight During The Ride będę tropić nastroje zewnętrzne i wewnętrzne w różnych miejscach miasta. Mój performance, inspirowany tańcem butō, rozgrywa się między pytaniami o to, co z jednej strony daje oparcie i niezawodność oraz co nas wzmacnia w obliczu obecnych przewartościowań jakości czasu, a co, z drugiej strony, przeszkadza nam w podróży, powoduje, że potykamy się i zataczamy. Skąd czerpiemy energię i witalność? Jaki bagaż odziedziczyliśmy po rodzinach? Czy możemy odkryć siebie na nowo? W tańcu inspirowanym tymi pytaniami koncepcja jest równie ważna co improwizacja. Całość dopełnią przypadkowe sytuacje, które się pojawią, oraz lokalizacja. Znajdzie się tu również miejsce na rozmowę na poruszony temat z odwiedzającymi i przechodniami.
Während des Festivals lAbiRynT erkunde ich tänzerisch, in den alten Arbeitsstiefeln meines Vaters, die sich ständig verändernden Herausforderungen der Gegenwart. Mit der Straßen-Performance Hold On Tight During The Ride werde ich an unterschiedlichen Orten und Plätzen in der Stadt äußere und innere Befindlichkeiten aufspüren. Meine Performance, beeinflusst vom Butohtanz, bewegt sich zwischen den Fragen nach dem, was einerseits Halt und Zuverlässigkeit verspricht, was uns stärkt in den Umwälzungen der aktuellen Zeitqualität. Und andererseits, was uns auf unserer Reise behindert, ins Stolpern und ins Taumeln bringt. Woher fließt mir neue Energie und Lebendigkeit zu? Was habe ich an ererbtem Gepäck aus der Familie mitbekommen? Kann ich mich neu erfinden? Beim Tanz um diese Fragen stehen Konzept und Improvisation gleichberechtigt nebeneinander. Zufälliges, das auftaucht, sich zeigt und der jeweilige Ort werden miteinbezogen. Es gibt Raum für Austausch über aufgeworfene Fragen mit Besucher*innen und Passanten.
During the lAbiRynT festival devoted to the topic of time, I will explore the ever-changing challenges of the present through dance in my father’s old work boots. With the street performance Hold On Tight During The Ride I will trace external and internal sensitivities at various locations and places in the city. My performance, influenced by butō dance, moves between the questions of what promises stability and reliability, what strengthens us in the face of the upheavals of the current quality of time on the one hand, and, on the other, what hinders us in our journey,what makes us stumble and stagger. Where do we get new energy and vitality from? What inherited baggage have we picked up from our families? Can we rediscover ourselves? In a dance inspired by these questions, the concept and improvisation are on an equal footing. The whole will be complemented by the random situations that will arise and the location. There will also be space for dialogue with visitors and passers-by about the topic.
