Tytuł projektu Poza czasem jest aluzją do dzieł literackich Martina Bojowalda i Cixin Liu, którzy – każdy na swój sposób – ukazują w nich historię wszechświata i przyszłość ludzkości. Zbiór prac wykorzystuje różne urządzenia naukowe oraz ich język wizualny: przed ekranem projekcyjnym, na postumentach, umieszczony jest zespół rzutników, „znalezisk”. Dzięki dynamicznym projekcjom na ścianie i podświetlanym obiektom układ ten tworzy złożony scenariusz przypominający sytuację laboratoryjną i narracje z trzeciego tomu Koniec śmierci trylogii Wspomnienie o przeszłości Ziemi. Ponadto na ekranie projekcyjnym rozmieszczone są różnie tykające, zdeformowane, ale działające zegary. Za pomocą systemu pomp umieszczone na rzutnikach naczynia przepływowe wprawiają w ruch miniatury ludzi i obiekty, których cienie przypominają modele makrocząsteczek, mechanizm zegara lub stacje kosmiczne.
Der Titel des Projekts Jenseits der Zeit erfolgt in Anspielung an literarische Werke der Autoren Martin Bojowald und Cixin Liu , die – jeder auf seine Weise – darin die Geschichte des Universums und die Zukunft der Menschheit entfalten. Die Werkgruppe bedient sich verschiedener Apparate der Naturwissenschaft und deren Bildsprache: Vor einer Projektionswand ist ein Ensemble aus Overhead-, Videoprojektoren und „Fundstücken“ auf Sockeln platziert. Die Anordnung generieret durch dynamische Projektionen an der Wand und beleuchtete Objekte ein komplexes an eine Laborsituation erinnerndes Szenario und Narrative aus dem 3. Band Jenseits der Zeit der Trilogie Trisolaris. Auf der Projektionswand sind zusätzlich unterschiedlich tickende, deformierte aber funktionsfähige Uhren Cluster-artig verteilt. Die auf den OH-projektoren platzierten Strömungsgefäße setzen über ein Pumpensystem kleine Miniaturen von Menschen und Objekte in Bewegung, deren Schatten an Modelle von Makromolekülen, Uhrwerke oder Raumstationen im Weltraum erinnern.
The title of the project, Beyond Time, is an allusion to the literary works of Martin Bojowald and Cixin Liu, who — each in his own way — depict the history of the universe and the future of humanity. The group of works makes use of various scientific devices and their visual language: in front of the screen, a set of overhead projectors, video projectors and “found objects” are placed on plinths. With dynamic projections on the wall and illuminated objects, this arrangement creates a complex scenario reminiscent of a laboratory situation and narratives from Death’s End, the third volume of the trilogy Remembrance of Earth’s Past. In addition, variously ticking, deformed but functioning clocks are arranged on the projection screen. By means of a pump system, flow vessels placed on the projectors set in motion miniatures of people and objects whose shadows are reminiscent of models of macromolecules, clockwork or space stations.
