Czekanie na autobus to 10 minut,
Czekanie przy komputerze na wykonanie polecenia – tylko 1 minuta,
to nieznośnie długo.

Kiedy spędzam tydzień na Sycylii,
oglądając greckie świątynie, bizantyjskie
mozaiki i romańskie budowle, czas mija
zdecydowanie za szybko.

A kiedy maska samochodu w ułamku
sekundy podnosi się podczas zderzenia,
dzieje się to w zwolnionym tempie.

Czy gęstość zdarzeń jest porównywalna
z gęstością materii, która powoduje grawitację i zniekształca czasoprzestrzeń?

Czy tym samym czas staje się tematem
rzeźbiarskim?
Czy dane zdarzenie jest radosne czy
negatywne?
Fizyka nie jest w stanie uchwycić tej
różnicy.

W tej pracy, różne obiekty i rysunki
z ponad 20 lat zostały zebrane razem,
tworząc instalację na temat czasu.

Wenn ich eine Woche in Sizilien griechische Tempel, Byzantinische Mosaiken
und Romanische Bauwerke ansehe, ist
die Zeit viel zu schnell vorbei.

Und wenn in Bruchteilen einer Sekunde
bei einem Auffahrunfall die Kühlerhaube hochschlägt, so geschieht das in
Zeitlupe.

Ist die Ereignisdichte vergleichbar mit
der Dichte von Materie, die die Gravitation verursacht und die Raum-Zeit
verformt?

Ist damit Zeit schon ein Bildhauerisches
Thema?
Ist ein Ereignis freudig oder negativ
besetzt?
Diesen Unterschied kann die Physik
nicht erfassen.

Verschiedene Objekte und Zeichnungen
aus über 20 Jahren werden zu einer
Installation zum Thema Zeit zusammengefasst.

Waiting 10 minutes for a bus connection,
Waiting just 1 minute for a computer to
start running,
it’s an unbearably long time.

When I spend a week in Sicily looking at
Greek temples, Byzantine mosaics and
Romanesque buildings, time passes only
too quickly.

And when the car bonnet rises in a fraction of a second in a collision, it happens
in slow motion.

Is the density of events comparable to
the density of matter that causes gravity
and distorts space-time?

Does this make time a sculptural theme?
Is a given event joyful or negative?
Physics cannot grasp this difference.

In this work, various objects and drawings from over 20 years have been
brought together to form an installation
on the theme of time.
